The Allentown Diocese Catholic Committee on Scouting works with Catholic Scouts within the diocese and encourages a strengthening of their faith through participation in the religious emblems program. We believe that ALL Scouts should be living the Twelfth Point of the Scout Law of "A Scout is Reverent" and can show their devotion by working on and earning their religious emblems.

Boy Scouts
Within the five counties of the Allentown Diocese (Northampton, Lehigh, Berks, Carbon and Schuylkill) we have two Boy Scout councils: Minsi Trails Council located in Allentown, PA; and the Hawk Mountain Council located in Reading, PA.
There are 4 Religious Emblem Programs available for scouts to earn. Two that can be earned by Cub Scouts, two that can be earned by Boy Scouts, and one that can be earned by Boy Scouts and Venturing crew members. By completing any of the Religious Emblems, the scout is also entitled to wear the BSA Religious Knot. Scouts are encouraged to earn all 4 emblems while they are on their Scouting and faith journeys.
